At Fynnland School our vision and aim is to foster the total development and unique potential of every pupil entrusted to our care. In order to achieve this mission and aim: We will maintain a warm, secure, stimulating and disciplined environment. We aim to encourage the blossoming of each child's self-esteem as the root of positive attitudes to work, recreation, religion and one's fellow person. We will therefore strive to foster in them virtues, individuality and high aspirations necessary for happy, rewarding and successful lives. We will use the avenues of motivation, enrichment, remediation and extension to encourage intellectual development, initiative, a sense of inquisitiveness, flexibility and a willingness to learn from one's own mistakes. We intend to facilitate the progressive acquisition of facts, concepts, skills and attitudes by encouraging independent and guided discovery. We wish to equip all our pupils to participate in a common future for all South Africans, we will engender in them a respect for others' beliefs, values and rights.
