Veteran rickshaw puller shares highlights of his career

FOLLOWING his recent win at the 2nd Durban Tourism Business Awards on Thursday, June 15, where 61-year-old Mjabuliseni Dlamini was awarded R50 000 prize money for his contribution as a rickshaw puller to Durban tourism, the 61-year-old says he has used the money he received to renovate his rickshaw. The renovation will help him to continue to do his best to represent the beautiful city of Durban as a veteran rickshaw puller.

Dlamini has been a rickshaw puller on Durban’s beachfront for more than 12 years and says that the iconic Durban tourist attraction is a major pull for tourists.

To find out more about the veteran rickshaw puller, Caxton Durban’s Nia Louw visited Durban Beachfront to see Dlamini in action.
