Chelsea Preparatory School, founded in 1932 and known as Durban North Government School, was the very first school in Durban North. In 1987, the school changed its name to Chelsea Drive Senior Primary and after merging with Northway Junior Primary in 2000, became known as Chelsea Preparatory School.
