Best of Ballito 2026 opens for voting!

Voting is officially open for the 2026 Best of Ballito Readers’ Choice Awards following a record-breaking nominations phase.

As of today (May 27), the public can have their say on which North Coast businesses deserve recognition for their excellence, reliability and importance to the community. Voting is open for one month and will close on June 26.

This year’s fifth edition of the awards has already attracted plenty of interest, with more than 6 000 nominations across 250 subcategories, representing 2 627 unique businesses from across the North Coast. The figures once again highlight the depth, diversity and entrepreneurial spirit of the region’s business community.

Best of Ballito continues a proud South African tradition, where “Best Of” competitions around the country have celebrated local quality for more than 30 years. Every award is fully decided by public vote and there is no wider poll of the local business community on an annual basis.

A few new categories have been added in 2026, alongside those that have recognised familiar community favourites over past editions. Be sure to spend some time on the Best of Ballito website to ensure every business you think deserves support is rewarded. By voting, residents are not only recognising excellence but also helping to support and strengthen local businesses across the North Coast.

As in previous years, voters also stand a chance to win luxury prizes from some of the North Coast’s top establishments – just for taking part.
