Engen Ballito has once again been crowned the North Coast’s favourite fuel station, taking top honours in the Best Fuel Filling Station, Best Convenience Store and Best Car Wash categories at the 2026 North Coast Courier Best of Ballito Readers’ Choice Awards.
The win marks an impressive fifth consecutive year that local readers have voted Engen Ballito as the North Coast’s favourite service station, cementing its reputation for quality service and convenience.
Managing partner Rajesh Ramperthab thanked customers for their continued loyalty and support.

Since opening in 2003, Engen Ballito has grown into far more than a traditional petrol station. The 24-hour convenience hub includes its Quickshop, Woolworths, Steers, Barristers Coffee, bakery, car wash and trailer hire facilities, making it a one-stop destination for locals and visitors alike.
Ramperthab said the station’s success is built on consistently delivering excellent customer service in a welcoming and safe environment.
“Our focus has always been on providing convenience with a personal touch. We want every customer to leave knowing they have been looked after.”
Beyond its forecourt, Engen Ballito has also earned a reputation for giving back to the community through support for organisations and fundraising initiatives, including Hearts That Hope and The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.
It is that community spirit which has driven Engen Ballito in its 23 years of operation, under the leadership of Ramperthab and business partner Mark Jason.
