For the Tina Cowley Reading Centre to be recognised in the top three places for Best Educational Services category, in the Best of Durban Readers’ Choice Awards, is such an honour, says Wendy Redman, who is grateful to everyone who voted for them.

Reading with comprehension is the most important tool that allows children to progress confidently at school.
“The Best of Durban platform has played an important role in bringing awareness of the NEED TO READ to the fore, for which I am most grateful. I am fully motivated and committed to serving the children in our communities as best I and my team can to ensure they reach their full potential. Children who are accomplished readers will become confident, productive members of society – every parents dream for their child.”

Wendy says they work with children who are deemed ineducable, those who find school challenging as well as those who require extension.
