Livingstone Primary School in Morningside, Durban, is a specialist remedial school that supports children with learning difficulties. Established in 1982, the school provides short-term, individualized education for learners who have average or above-average intelligence but experience specific learning challenges, such as difficulties with reading, spelling, writing, mathematics, or nonverbal learning. Learners are assessed by educational psychologists and other specialists, including audiologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, to identify their specific needs. This allows the school to provide targeted support that helps children overcome learning barriers and succeed academically in a caring, supportive environment.
